Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Perth with substantial HVAC design experience to lead projects within our Building Services team. The role requires independent work across multiple projects, client-facing meetings, and engagement with stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Successful candidates will hold a Mechanical Engineer degree and bring 7+ years of HVAC design experience in consulting, with knowledge of Australian codes and Revit proficiency.

Qualifications

• Hold a Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC Engineering, heat load calculations, equipment and reticulation sizing and selection, coordination, and documentation.
• Responsible for planning and managing projects from initial planning, concept and brief, through to installation and commissioning.
• Demonstrate a high degree of technical knowledge, providing oversight and supervision to ensure successful project delivery.
• Represent Stantec externally to Clients, playing a senior and active role in managing these relationships and generate repeat business.
• Work closely with architects, contractors and end users to achieve efficient, cost-effective solutions with a high-quality outcome.
• Manage HVAC design projects in accordance with code and company quality standards.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers, provide feedback and contribute to their development.
