Job summary

Stantec in Perth is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer with strong HVAC design expertise. You will manage multiple projects, lead technical delivery, and engage in client meetings to shape outcomes across building services.

The role requires a Mechanical Engineer Degree and typically 7 years of HVAC design experience, with knowledge of Building Code of Australia and Revit. You will mentor juniors and help grow Stantec's Western Australia operations.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineer Degree or equivalent.
• 7 years HVAC design experience in building services.
• Knowledge of Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit and other software.
• Experience planning and managing successful projects.
• Strong client relationship skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop HVAC engineering, heat load calculations, sizing, coordination and documentation.
• Plan and manage projects from concept/brief to installation and commissioning.
• Provide oversight and supervision for project delivery.
• Represent Stantec to clients and generate repeat business.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors and end users for high-quality outcomes.
• Manage HVAC design projects per code and standards.
• Delegate tasks to junior engineers and mentor them.
• Ensure adherence to Stantec quality procedures.
