Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Intermediate Hydraulic Engineer to join our Perth buildings team. You will contribute to design consultancy, deliver hydraulic design across healthcare, commercial, data centres, and education projects, and manage workload across multiple projects.

Based in Western Australia, you will collaborate with Project Technical Leaders, perform site inspections, and assist with tender submissions while applying Building Code of Australia standards and industry software

Qualifications

• Be degree qualified in engineering.
• Ideally have 2–6 years building hydraulic design experience.
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards.
• Working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD or other similar industry software.
• Willingness to establish and maintain client relationships to formulate repeat opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
• Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, planning and delivery of hydraulic engineering assessments and calculations across healthcare, commercial, data centres, retail, defence, industrial and educational building projects.
• Support Project Technical Leaders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to standard.
• Conduct site inspections, monitor installations, test and commission hydraulic systems.
• Contribute to tender submissions and project reporting.
• Add value to in-house design/project meetings.
• Adhere to Stantec professional standards, ethics and quality procedures.
