Job summary

Hitachi Energy Australia is seeking a technically skilled Senior Sales Engineer to lead sales and tendering for high-voltage products, driving opportunities and delivering tailored solutions.

You will build long-term client relationships, advocate for non-SF6 tech like Econiq, and collaborate with Account Managers, Product groups, and Marketing to sharpen pricing and strategy. Strong HV background and English fluency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in technical sales or engineering within the HV industry.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Salesforce (SFDC) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales of HV equipment (GIS, circuit breakers, Econiq, DTB) by identifying opportunities and engaging with clients.
• Prepare and submit high-quality tenders and quotations with technical and commercial content.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
• Advocate for non-SF6 solutions and Econiq; support market education through presentations and roadshows.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Product groups, and Marketing to align on strategy and monitor market trends and competitor activity.
• Take ownership of sales targets, support favorable contract negotiations, ensure safety and quality standards, and maintain Salesforce records.
