SpaceX in Redmond, WA is seeking a Sr. Power Electronics Engineer - High Voltage for Starlink to design and deploy power systems that power high-speed satellite communications.

You will own the full hardware lifecycle from concept through production, collaborating with RF, mechanical, and systems teams to push performance and reliability forward. The role demands deep expertise in DC-DC power converters at kilovolt scales, with a track record of hardware ownership and a results-driven mindset.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or STEM field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in power converter development.
• Experience with magnetics and design of custom transformers and inductors, including planar magnetics.
• Experience in modeling, simulation, and testing of power electronics.

Mansioni

• Own hardware from conceptual design through high volume production and ground station operation.
• Deliver engineering expertise in designing, analyzing, and testing of DC-DC power converters for harsh environments.
• Design power supplies that support 10s of kilovolts and hundreds of watts.
• Lead verification testing and analysis for electrical power systems.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to define power electronics hardware.
