Job summary

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Hardware Engineer, Satellites (Starlink) to own the lifecycle of spacecraft electronics. You will design, test, and bring-up hardware, coordinating with avionics, payload, mechanical, and software teams to deliver high-performance, reliable subsystems.

The role emphasizes system-level trades, prototype builds, and in-flight hardware readiness with opportunities across avionics and payload domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or physics.
• 1+ years of experience designing circuits, electronic products, or hardware.
• Preferred: Master’s degree and 2+ years delivering hardware from concept through production.
• Strong background in mixed-signal design, processors, FPGAs, and power supply components.

Responsibilities

• Rapidly develop high-reliability electronics for satellites and spacecraft.
• Drive system trades, requirements capture, component selection, analysis, schematic capture, PCB layout, prototyping, hardware bring-up, debugging, documentation, manufacturing, test, and on-orbit performance.
• Collaborate with mechanical, thermal, software, test, and supply chain teams to deliver integrated hardware.
• Support hardware through production, satellite integration, and flight.
