UGL Pty Limited’s Utilities team seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in high‑voltage transmission lines and substations in Sydney. You will produce and check design deliverables and studies, coordinate with multiple engineering disciplines, and mentor junior engineers to ensure technically sound outcomes on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Four-year Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with eligibility for Engineers Australia membership.
• Experience in HV power system design or studies, especially across transmission line and substation projects.
• Proficiency with earth-ing, EMF, insulation coordination, and power system analysis concepts.

Responsabilités

• Deliver specialist studies covering earthing, EMF, insulation coordination, corona and power system analysis.
• Undertake transmission line and substation primary design including line parameters, conductor selection and clearances.
• Prepare and check technical reports, calculations and design deliverables for accuracy and adequacy.
• Coordinate interfaces with engineering disciplines and provide guidance to drafting personnel.
• Liaise with clients and support tendering, business development and construction teams.
