Job summary

UGL Pty Limited in Perth, WA is seeking an Electrical Engineer - Primary Systems to join our Utilities engineering team on a permanent full-time basis. You will produce design deliverables for high voltage primary systems and coordinate across disciplines to meet project requirements.

The role offers exposure to substation configuration, plant layouts, busbars, earthing and protection systems with a focus on design-for-construction in a practical environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering with member-grade recognition.
• Experience designing or maintaining high voltage power systems.
• Ability to coordinate with drafting and other disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed electrical design deliverables for primary systems under guidance.
• Support design checking and ensure technical accuracy for project requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces with drafting and other disciplines to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor design schedules and budgets for allocated work areas.
• Provide engineering advice to construction, installation and operations teams.
• Assist with inspection, manuals, reports and project procedures.
• Maintain safe working practices per HSSE and project procedures.
