Job summary

Civil Mining & Construction (CMC) is a Queensland-based Tier 2 civil contractor delivering civil and mining infrastructure. We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to drive safe delivery of projects and lead on-site HSE for our growing portfolio in the region.

You will coordinate HSE activities, provide practical advice, and ensure compliance with company, project and legislative requirements while promoting a positive safety culture across on-site teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety is required.
• Construction HSE management experience (5+ years).
• Experience with WHS/HSE management techniques and tools.
• Advanced computer skills: Word, Excel, email.
• Ability to conduct and interpret audits and reviews.
• Experience with TMR and/or TfNSW programs.
• Willingness to work on FI/FO or DI/DO roster; project uplifts and allowances apply.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main site contact for all HSE matters across the project.
• Identify, assess and manage site HSE risks.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders to enable effective HSE outcomes.
• Coordinate HSE activities between construction, consultants, client, subcontractors and 3rd parties.
• Provide practical HSE advice and support to project teams.
• Implement and maintain company, project and legislative HSE requirements.
• Lead or support incident, near miss and hazard reporting and investigations.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, registers and reports.
• Support environmental management and site environmental compliance.
• Promote a positive safety culture and continuous HSE improvement.
