Job summary

Civil Mining & Construction Pty Ltd is a Queensland-based civil contractor seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to lead health, safety and environmental efforts on Brisbane projects. You will partner with construction teams, clients and subcontractors to manage risks and drive compliant, safe delivery of works.

The role requires a Diploma or Cert IV in WHS and 5+ years of HSE management in construction, with strong incident management and audit skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Cert IV in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Construction HSE management experience.
• Implementation and monitoring of permit to work systems.
• Experience with WHS/HSE management techniques and tools.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Word, Excel and email.
• Ability to conduct audits and reviews.
• TMR and/or TfNSW experience recommended.
• Willingness to work on FI/FO or DI/DO roster with applicable allowances.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main site contact for all HSE matters across the project.
• Identify, assess and manage site HSE risks.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders to facilitate HSE outcomes.
• Coordinate HSE activities between construction team, consultants and client.
• Provide practical HSE advice and support to project teams.
• Maintain HSE records, reports and compliance.
• Lead incident, near miss and hazard investigations.
• Promote a positive safety culture on site.
