Job summary

Infrastructure Business Growth Pty Ltd in Maroochydore, QLD, is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor for Civil and Structures to provide senior field safety leadership across complex rail, station and civil works. The role focuses on excavation, piling, lifting and temporary works within constrained access windows.

You will review SWMS and permits, conduct field assurance, lead investigations and mentor safety advisers. Australian experience is essential; relocation packages are on offer.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' construction HSE experience, including major civil or structural works.
• Diploma or degree in work health and safety or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and principal-contractor obligations.
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail, site and medical competencies.
• Relocation packages on offer.
• Australian experience is required.

A major transport infrastructure project (valued at more than $1 billion) is underway across South East Queensland, delivering complex rail, station and civil works. Having won numerous major projects in Queensland in the past 12 months, the head contractor is seeking a Senior Safety Advisor - Civil and Structures to provide senior field-focused safety leadership for civil and structural works around operational assets and constrained access windows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead safety input to excavation, piling, lifting, temporary works, formwork, work-at-height and structural erection planning
• Review SWMS, lift studies, temporary-works controls, permits and possession readiness
• Conduct field assurance focused on control effectiveness and work as performed
• Lead or support incident investigations and translate learning into changed controls
• Mentor safety advisers and promote consistent standards across subcontractors

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years' construction HSE experience, including major civil or structural works at senior level
• Diploma or degree in work health and safety or a related discipline
• Strong working knowledge of Queensland WHS legislation and principal-contractor obligations
• Formal incident-investigation training desirable
• Current construction induction card and ability to obtain rail, site and medical competencies
