NRW Holdings is seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor for a major civil infrastructure project in Western Australia. The role involves leading health, safety, environmental and training systems on site and driving continuous improvement to meet legislative requirements.

You will work with site leadership to embed HSE practices, mentor teams, and ensure effective incident investigations and prevention actions across the project.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience as a Senior HSE Advisor or HSE Advisor in construction or civil infrastructure.
• Demonstrated leadership to coach and mentor teams for safety improvements.
• Experience implementing HSE management systems and ensuring compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist project team to implement and embed the Projects Work Health, Safety Environmental and Training Management System.
• Coach Supervisors in hazard and incident prevention on the Project.
• Conduct, investigate and report on all incident investigations with corrective actions.
• Perform regular inspections of Health, Safety and Environmental processes to meet NRW requirements.
• Develop and present ideas to improve Health, Safety and Environmental aspects on the Project.
• Develop, implement and support HSE education and training programs.
• Champion health and safety on site.

Job description

NRW has recently been awarded a new project involving thereconstruction and realignment of sections of Toodyay Road,including the construction of a bridge over Jimperding Brook. Weare seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support our civilproject delivery teams.

This role will work closely with site leadership to ensureeffective implementation of health, safety, environmental, andtraining systems, while driving continuous improvement andlegislative compliance.

To be considered for this position as a Senior HSEAdvisor you will possess the following:

• Substantial experience as a Senior HSE Advisor or HSEAdvisor, preferably within a construction or civilinfrastructure environment
• Significant experience working with MRWA on complexinfrastructure projects
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and mentor teams todrive positive safety outcomes
• Proven capability to implement and manage HSE managementsystems, and support operational and project leadership withinternal system requirements and compliance
• Minimum Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
• ICAM Lead Investigator trained
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Hold a Construction White Card
• C Class Drivers Licence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office Suite andincident management systems
• Previous experience in a metropolitan based role
• Sound knowledge of the Work Health and Safety Act andRegulations

As a site based Senior HSE Advisor, you will maintainNRW’s strong safety culture and be responsible for but not limitedto:

• Assisting the project team to implement and embed theProjects Work Health, Safety Environmental and TrainingManagement System
• Coaching Supervisors in the implementation of hazard andincident prevention on the Project
• Conduct, investigate and report on all incidentinvestigations inclusive of development and implementation ofcorrective and preventive actions
• Conducting regular inspections on Health, Safety andEnvironmental SE processes in line with NRW and Legislativerequirements
• Develop and present innovative ideas to improve Health,Safety and Environmental aspects on the Project to promote ‘ASafe, Day, Everyday’
• Develop, implement and support HSE education and trainingprograms to create and improve HSE awareness
• Champion health and safety on site
