Job summary

NRW Civil & Mining is seeking an accomplished HSE Advisor to join our Castle Hill mining operations in Western Australia on a 9/6 FIFO roster from Perth. You will be central to strengthening our Mine Safety Management System and supporting SSE and HSE Superintendent.

You're a proactive safety professional with WA mining regulatory knowledge, capable of investigations, audits and risk assessments, and able to coach teams to lift safety performance across site operations.

Qualifications

• Experience as an HSE Advisor within mining/resources or heavy industry.
• Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.
• Strong knowledge of WA mining legislation, MSMS, and critical control management.
• Experience leading investigations, audits and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Provide proactive safety guidance across mining operations.
• Drive MSMS implementation and continuous improvement.
• Lead inspections, audits and CRMs increasing safe behaviour.
• Facilitate investigations and risk assessments; ensure corrective actions.
• Strengthen site governance through reporting and analytics.

This position is central tostrengthening our Mine Safety Management System (MSMS) andsupporting the Site Senior Executive (SSE) and HSE Superintendentto meet obligations under the Work Health and Safety (Mines)Regulations 2022 (WA).

• Strategic HSEleadership: Provide proactive, high-quality safety guidanceacross mining operations.
• MSMSownership: Drive implementation,continuousimprovementand critical controlverification.
• Fieldengagement: Lead inspections, audits and Critical RiskManagement interactions thatinfluencebehaviourandculture.
• Risk, incident and complianceassurance: Facilitateinvestigations and risk assessments,drive corrective action close-out and monitor adherence toprocedures,permitsand statutoryrequirements.
• SSEsupport,reportingandanalytics: Strengthen site governance and legislativecompliance through clear,accurateHSE reportingand performance insights.
• Capabilitydevelopment: Coach supervisors and work teams to lift safetyperformance and decision-making.
• Emergencyreadiness: Support emergency responseplanning,trainingand continuousimprovement.

About You

You'rea credible and proactivesafety professional with strong operational awareness, clearcommunicationskillsand the ability to influence withoutauthority, even in challengingconditions.

You willhave:

• Provenexperience as an HSE Advisor withinmining,resourcesor heavyindustry.
• CertificateIV in Work Health and Safety as a minimum.
• Strongknowledge of WA mining legislation,MSMSrequirementsand critical controlmanagement.
• Demonstratedcapability in investigations, audits,riskassessmentsand verificationactivities.
• A trackrecordof working autonomously and making soundoperational decisions.
• Excellentcommunication and relationship-building skills across alllevels.
• Proficiencyin HSE systems,reportingtoolsand MicrosoftOffice.
• A currentunrestricted C ClassDriver'sLicence.
• Mining-specific qualifications or incidentinvestigation training, such as ICAM, will be highlyregarded.
