Job summary

City of Greater Geelong seeks an experienced Business Analyst to shape HRIS/payroll solutions within the ACE Program. You will translate complex requirements into scalable designs, work with People and Culture, Payroll and Technology teams, and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance throughout the HR lifecycle.

You will drive process design, data migration, and analytics to deliver measurable value while supporting the organisation's future of work.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in IT, Business, HR or similar with substantial professional experience.
• Demonstrated BA experience delivering HRIS/payroll implementations or major upgrades.
• Experience on projects/programs in a comparable organisation.
• Knowledge of BABOK, Agile, and Prince2.
• Experience with enterprise HRIS/payroll platforms (SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, Dayforce, TechnologyOne, Aurion).
• Understanding of end-to-end HR/payroll processes including EA/awards interpretation.
• Knowledge of HR data privacy, security and role-based access requirements.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis of HR systems, integrations and data requirements; translate business needs into scalable designs.
• Document key processes and enable seamless integrations across HRIS, payroll, finance and more.
• Interpret awards and policies; configure pay rules, leave, entitlements and time/attendance.
• Define HR data, reporting and workforce analytics requirements; support data migration and integrity.
• Champion data privacy, security and governance; ensure RBAC and regulatory compliance.
• Support release planning, go-live readiness, payroll cutovers and hypercare.
• Partner with Project Managers and program leaders throughout the lifecycle.
