Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior Advisor – People & Performance to join the People Services team on a contract up to 12 months. The role focuses on providing trusted HR guidance across employee relations, performance management, investigations, and policy interpretation.

You will work with managers and staff to support complex matters, drive leadership capability, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across People Services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in HR advisory or employee relations.
• Australian Citizenship and ability to obtain police check.
• Experience in workplace investigations and handling sensitive cases.
• Knowledge of APS employment frameworks and industrial relations.
• Tertiary HR qualification; AHRI membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist HR advice on policies, legislation and enterprise agreements.
• Manage complex employee relations matters including performance and misconduct.
• Conduct workplace enquiries and investigations with reports and recommendations.
• Build stakeholder relationships and deliver client-focused HR services.
• Coach leaders on performance and behavioural matters.
• Contribute to HR systems improvements and continuous service delivery.
• Stay current with APS employment frameworks and IR developments.
