Job summary

Chandler Macleod is seeking an experienced APS6 Senior Advisor – People & Performance to join a dynamic People Services team on a contract opportunity for up to 12 months.

The role provides trusted advice on workforce matters including employee relations, performance management, workplace investigations, and policy interpretation, partnering with leaders to deliver practical HR solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HR advisory or employee relations role.
• Australian Citizenship; ability to obtain and maintain a satisfactory National Police Check.
• Knowledge of APS employment frameworks and industrial relations developments.
• Tertiary qualifications in HR or related discipline; AHRI membership/certification desirable.
• Experience in coaching, mediation or dispute resolution.
• Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist HR advice and guidance on enterprise agreements, legislation, policies and procedures.
• Manage complex employee relations matters including performance management, misconduct, grievances, complaints and workplace conflict.
• Conduct workplace enquiries, reviews and investigations with reports and recommendations.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and deliver high-quality HR services.
• Support leaders through coaching, training and guidance on performance and behavioural matters.
• Prepare professional briefings, correspondence and reports.
