Galvin-Rowley Executive Search is seeking a Senior People & Culture Business Partner to work with Melbourne-based senior leaders, driving people strategies across the employee lifecycle and supporting transformational change.

You will bring strong employee and industrial relations expertise, commercial acumen and a pragmatic, hands-on approach to balance strategic priorities with day-to-day operational delivery.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in a senior HR Business Partner or comparable generalist HR role within a complex organisation.
• Strong expertise in employee relations, industrial relations and Australian employment legislation.
• Proven experience supporting organisational change, transformation and workforce initiatives.
• Commercial acumen with ability to understand operational and financial implications of people decisions.
• Confidence to influence, challenge and build trusted relationships with senior leaders.
• Sound judgement, resilience and discretion in handling sensitive situations.
• Pragmatic, hands-on approach balancing strategic priorities with operational demands.
• Strong communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Collaborative, accountable approach with a genuine interest in helping leaders and teams perform at their best.

Responsibilities

• Partner with senior leaders to provide commercially focused, practical HR advice aligned with business objectives.
• Manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including investigations, performance management and workplace issues.
• Support organisational transformation, change management and new ways of working.
• Coach and advise leaders to strengthen people management capability, accountability and performance.
• Provide guidance on workforce planning, talent management and organisational development.
• Use workforce data and insights to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation, industrial instruments and organisational policies.
• Support employee wellbeing, injury management and workplace risk mitigation.
