Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a dynamic Senior HR Business Partner to join our team in Rockhampton. You will be an advisor and trusted partner to senior leadership, aligning HR initiatives with the organisation's goals and guiding workforce strategy.

This role requires expertise in organisational design, workforce planning, talent management and effective employee relations, with a focus on engagement and retention. A thorough background check is required as part of the process.

Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight

$107,154 - $111,619 pro rata per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 5) + Superannuation

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Human Resource Business Partner (SHRBP) to join our team at Council.

As an advisor and trusted partner to senior leadership and employees, you will play a pivotal role in aligning human resource initiatives with the organisation's goals. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to drive meaningful change and contribute to a thriving workplace.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application criteria

• Demonstrated experience providing contemporary HR business partnering support to operational leaders within a complex organisation.
• Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying employment legislation, enterprise agreements, policies, and procedures to manage organisational risk and support decision-making.
• Proven ability to manage complex employee and industrial relations matters, including performance management, misconduct, grievances, and organisational change.
• Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships and coach leaders to achieve people and organisational outcomes.
