Job summary

Eden Ritchie Recruitment in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Senior HR Advisor to partner with senior leaders within a Queensland Government environment, delivering practical HR advice and managing complex employee matters.

You will interpret employment legislation, support workforce initiatives, coach managers, and use people analytics to inform decisions. This is a 3-month contract located in Brisbane CBD, offering impactful workforce outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong HR generalist experience within the Queensland Public Sector.
• Sound knowledge of HR legislation, industrial relations frameworks and employment policies.
• Experience managing complex employee relations and performance matters.
• Demonstrated HR business partnering or senior advisory experience.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Practical, measured and solutions-focused approach to resolving workplace issues.
• Experience or knowledge of workplace health, safety and wellbeing matters.
• A current driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice across employee relations, performance management and workforce matters.
• Manage complex and sensitive cases including grievances, conflict, conduct, discipline and return-to-work matters.
• Interpret and apply relevant employment legislation, industrial instruments, directives and policies.
• Coach and support managers in addressing complex people management issues.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
• Use workforce data and people analytics to support informed decision-making.
• Contribute to HR strategies, policies, programs and continuous improvement initiatives.
