Job summary

UGL is delivering major rail infrastructure projects in Australia. We are seeking a Senior HR Advisor to join the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project, based at Fortitude Valley with movement to Beenleigh.

You will contribute to project plans and strategy by delivering HR support and initiatives across the program. You will lead HR processes for change, performance, and employee relations while reporting on HR metrics and supporting budget adherence.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years in generalist operational HR within engineering or construction with oversight of 300+ employees.
• Experience driving HR initiatives and supporting organisational change.
• Ensuring compliance with employment and OHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support project leaders in improving project performance through people.
• Simplify HR tools and processes across the project.
• Assist managers with change, performance management and employee relations matters.
• Support innovation and organisational change initiatives.
• Provide timely HR reporting to inform project decisions.
• Assist with cost management and budgeting related to HR.
• Implement HR initiatives aligned to Project Management Plans.
• Identify resource gaps and develop strategies to bridge them.
• Administer performance and rewards initiatives, including promotions and remuneration changes.
• Guide the business through organisational changes affecting employees.
• Provide guidance on legislative changes and business standards.
• Coordinate internal recruitment aligned with project needs.
• Deliver people management training and coaching for managers.
• Drive completion of Performance and Development reviews.
• Negotiate transfer terms to meet resourcing needs.
