Job summary

UGL Pty Limited is seeking a Project Engineer to join the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project in Brisbane. You will coordinate design, procurement and construction elements, ensuring technical compliance and milestone delivery, while fostering teamwork and maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, rail competencies, and at least 4 years of project engineering experience in rail systems, with on-site leadership capabilities and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Relevant Rail Industry Worker competencies.
• Minimum 4 years relevant experience as a Project Engineer within Rail Systems, ideally with track experience.
• Ability to handle fast-paced, high-pressure work environments while maintaining high quality standards.
• Ability to lead teams on-site and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop quantity take-offs, maintain scope and change register.
• Monitor key construction requirements and implement corrective action as required.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers’ work.
• Manage verification of conformance for works under control.
• Maintain all relevant project document control and records.
• Manage works design and ensure all relevant approvals are obtained.
• Undertake monthly forecasting including accruals, quantity take-offs, forecasting and reporting.
• Lead construction teams, supervisors, and subcontractors to achieve daily project objectives.
