Job summary

UGL is delivering major Australian infrastructure projects and seeks a Senior HR Advisor for the Logan Gold Coast Faster Rail project. Based at Fortitude Valley and moving to Beenleigh, the role supports HR initiatives, reporting, and change management across 300+ staff within a large engineering context.

You will partner with project leaders, streamline HR processes, and help manage performance, rewards, and recruitment to meet project plans and budgets.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Business, Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years experience in generalist operational HR within engineering or construction with oversight of 300+ employees.
• Experience initiating and driving HR initiatives and supporting organisational change.
• Ensuring business compliance with employment and OHS legislation.

Responsibilities

• Support project leaders to improve performance through people.
• Simplify HR tools and processes across the project.
• Support managers on change, performance management and employee relations.
• Provide timely HR reporting to support decision making.
• Assist in managing costs and project budgets.
• Implement HR initiatives aligned to Project Management Plans.
• Identify skill gaps and develop bridging strategies.
• Administer performance and rewards processes including promotions.
• Support organisational change as it impacts employees.
• Provide guidance on legislation and business standards.
• Internal recruitment aligned with project needs.
• People management training and coaching for managers.
• Drive completion of Performance and Development reviews.
• Negotiate transfer terms for resourcing.
