Job summary

The Parliamentary Workplace Support Service (PWSS) is seeking an experienced APS 6 Senior HR Adviser in Canberra to deliver a broad range of HR functions including recruitment, payroll, learning and development, workplace relations and employee lifecycle management.

You will develop and implement HR policies and programs, undertake workforce reporting and data analysis, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement across our HR service, while providing high-quality advice to

Qualifications

• Experience providing high-quality HR advice on complex and sensitive workplace and employee matters.
• Sound knowledge of APS frameworks, legislation, and contemporary HR practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead HR initiatives, coordinate complex work programs and guide others to achieve business outcomes.
• Demonstrated sound judgement and resilience, with the ability to navigate ambiguity, manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a changing environment.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with, influencing outcomes and provide practical, solution-focused advice.
• Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
