Job summary

The Hospitals Contribution Fund of Australia Limited (HCF) is seeking a Senior Business Insights Analyst to provide data and analytics support across our Private Health Insurance business. You will partner with stakeholders, translate needs into data products, and deliver timely insights to inform budgets, forecasts and member-centric initiatives.

You'll work with data scientists and analysts, leveraging SAS, Snowflake, Tableau and SQL to uncover trends, build scalable data solutions, and

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Experience with SAS, Snowflake, Tableau, SQL and BI tools for reporting and analytics.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality and data storytelling for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into high-quality data, analytics and insight solutions.
• Analyse membership, claims, benefits, revenue, industry data and KPIs to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
• Conduct exploratory analysis to answer complex business questions and support better-informed decisions.
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting and insights to support budgets, forecasts, premium submissions, performance metrics and ad hoc business requirements.
• Maintain data assets through testing and issue resolution, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
• Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce technical debt.
• Contribute to analytics projects, testing and business initiatives, delivering outcomes within time and budget.
• Communicate insights and progress clearly to stakeholders and strengthen data literacy.
