As the Senior Head Butcher, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our busy butchery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and customer service are maintained. What you'll be doing

• Manage and supervise a team of butchers, ensuring they adhere to all safety and quality protocols
• Oversee the processing, cutting, and preparation of a wide variety of meat products to exacting specifications
• Assist in the development and implementation of new product ideas
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure a consistent and high-quality supply of fresh meat
• Provide exceptional customer service and assist in the training and development of junior staff
• Maintain detailed records and inventory management to optimise efficiency and minimise waste
• Ensure the butchery adheres to all relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Head Butcher or in a senior butchery management role
• Thorough knowledge of meat cutting, processing, and preservation techniques
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality
• A passion for the culinary arts and a deep understanding of the artisanal butchery industry
• Food safety and hygiene certification, or willingness to obtain
