Job summary

BuildRight Construction AU in Queensland, Australia is seeking an experienced Qualified Butcher to join a growing premium gourmet butchery. This full-time role focuses on high-quality Australian meats in a modern retail setting, delivering exceptional service and premium products.

You will work to maintain food safety standards, produce gourmet offerings, and contribute to growth through teamwork and quality workmanship. Sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification as a butcher or equivalent trade certification.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of meat preparation techniques.
• Experience producing value-added and gourmet meat products is highly regarded.
• Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Reliable, motivated and committed to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cut, trim and portion a wide range of premium meat products.
• Produce high-quality value-added and gourmet meat products.
• Maintain excellent presentation and merchandising of meat displays.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and product advice.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and quality standards are maintained at all times.
• Manage stock rotation and minimise product waste.
• Assist with ordering, inventory control and daily production planning.
