Job summary

Petstock SO Regional Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Store Manager for Mitre 10 Cohuna operation in Northern Victoria. You will lead a busy retail team, drive customer-focused service, and ensure efficient store operations, stock control, and profitability.

You will coach and develop staff, manage rostering, oversee inventory, and maintain high standards of presentation while delivering strong financial performance in a community-focused hardware retail environment.

Qualifications

• Proven retail management experience, ideally within hardware, building supplies, rural merchandise, trade, or a similar industry.
• Passionate about delivering outstanding customer service and building strong customer relationships.
• Strong inventory management and stock control experience.
• Excellent people leadership skills; be able to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing Profit & Loss (P&L).
• Ability to manage budgets, wages, stock turn, margins, and overall store profitability.
• Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused.
• Willing to be hands-on in all areas of the business, including customer deliveries when required.
• Holds a current driver's licence (forklift licence advantageous).

• Maintain high standards of store presentation, merchandising, and housekeeping.
• Manage and analyse store P&L performance; develop plans to improve profitability and operational efficiencies.
• Monitor sales, margins, wages, and expenses against budgets.
• Ensure compliance with vehicle, safety, and transport requirements.
• Maintain a safe and compliant workplace for employees and customers.
