Job summary

Four Seasons Hotels Sydney is seeking an experienced Event Planner to coordinate large group events and conferences. You will collaborate with Rooms Division, Food & Beverage, Security, and Finance to ensure seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences.

Reporting to the Director of Catering & Conference Services, you will manage client relationships from planning through post-event follow-up, working closely with sales, marketing, AV partners, and external suppliers to maximize revenue

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a large group and event planning role in a high-volume hotel or function centre.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple files and tasks.
• Strong communication and attention to detail in planning and executing events and group business.
• Ability to build strong connections with internal and external stakeholders.
• Solid local market knowledge.
• Good computer systems knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Work with all key hotel operational departments to ensure service delivery for groups and events while maintaining client satisfaction.
• Greet group and event contacts on arrival, engage during their stay, and bid farewell on departure.
• Ensure Four Seasons service standards are delivered; address issues, resolve glitches, and manage complaints.
• Liaise with clients during planning stages of conferences, social and corporate events, and group accommodation.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to plan conferences/events and group accommodations.
• Coordinate with on-site AV company and other suppliers to meet conference/event needs.
• Coordinate and negotiate sales efforts between sales and catering to maximize function space revenue.
• Upsell and maximize revenue related to conferences, banqueting, and food & beverage services.
