CMW Geosciences in Perth is seeking an Associate/Principal Geotechnical Tailings Engineer to lead tailings projects. You will provide high-level technical guidance, manage delivery from early stages to design, and mentor junior engineers.

The role emphasizes client relationship development, collaboration with the broader geotechnical team, and contributing to business growth while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified Geotechnical or Civil Engineer with 12+ years' experience in geotechnical consultancy.
• Proven Tailings Storage Facility design experience from pre-feasibility to operations support.
• Strong leadership and mentoring ability in a project team.
• Ability to build client relationships and work with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical input and guidance on TSF design and related projects.
• Lead and support delivery from pre-feasibility through detail design and field/operational support.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers within the team.
• Build relationships with clients and internal project teams.
• Support business development through client engagement and proposals.
• Contribute to quality, safety, and technical excellence on Tailings projects.
