Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Senior Tailings/Geotechnical Engineer to join our team across Brisbane, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Gold Coast or Hobart. The role focuses on supporting tailings storage facilities and mine waste management with emphasis on safety, ESG compliance, and engineering excellence.

Ideal candidates will have 5–10+ years in geotechnical consulting, strong software skills (Muk3D, QGIS, AutoCAD/Civil3D), and proven project leadership.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in civil or geotechnical engineering required.

Responsibilities

• Support tailings and mine waste management and operation teams to ensure facility safety.
• Apply geotechnical engineering design and analysis for TSFs and WSFs.
• Perform geotechnical analyses, reporting, and design calculations.
• Develop instrumentation monitoring systems and manage projects.
