Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) seeks a Senior Geologist to lead the Geology Team, delivering site geological support for operations. You will mentor the Mine Geologist and liaise with stakeholders at all levels to drive safety and efficiency.

Based on site at HVO, you will contribute to CHPP feed planning, communicate complex data clearly, and foster continuous improvement in geology practices across the operation.

Job Description

Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Geologist leads the Geology Team to deliver site geological support to operations personnel. You will have a high level of exposure to stakeholders and engagement with all levels of the business and will be provided mentoring and development opportunities to further your career path.

About the Role

Lead a culture of continuous improvement by challenging the status quo and generating ideas to improve process and people performance. Provide technical oversight and mentoring to the Mine Geologist. Liaising with various stakeholders regarding short term CHPP feed planning. You will have excellent communication skills, coupled with high initiative.

Monday to Friday professional roster

Based on site at HVO (off Lemington Road)

About You

Formal qualifications in Geology or related field.

5+ years of experience in mining operations, with a focus on geological and geotechnical support.

Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills to assess opportunities and risks, and the ability to develop actionable insights.

Proven track record of collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
