Job summary

Hunter Valley Operations (HVO) in the NSW Hunter Valley is seeking a Senior Geologist to lead the Geology Team and deliver site geological support to operations. The role emphasizes mentoring, effective communication, and collaboration with stakeholders to optimize mining processes.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Geology or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in mining operations providing geological and geotechnical support.
• Excellent communication to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Geology Team to deliver site geological support to operations personnel.
• Provide mentoring and technical oversight to the Mine Geologist.
• Liaise with stakeholders regarding short-term CHPP feed planning and related activities.
• Communicate clearly with initiative and drive continuous improvement across geology processes.
