Job summary

Ravensworth Operations, part of Glencore, is seeking a Senior Engineer – Technical Services to lead geotechnical design, data capture and coal flow coordination at the Ravensworth Open Cut and CHPP in the Hunter Valley.

You will report to the Technical Services Manager and drive safety, quality and continuous improvement across geotechnical and geological domains with a focus on data integrity and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership skills complemented by a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a small team.
• Proactive attitude to safety and strong problem-solving skills.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications (mining, geotechnical, geological, civil or survey)
• 5 yrs experience in an open-cut coal environment with exposure to Geotechnical and/or Geological processes such as data capture, modelling, analysis, design, scheduling, compliance and coal recovery
• Prior use of Vulcan, Deswik, and MinVu systems is preferred

The Role

An opportunity exists for an experienced Senior Engineer, who is self-motivated and committed to developing a culture motivated by safety, quality and continuous improvement.

• Coordination of the sites Geotechnical design, monitoring and compliance process
• Coordination of the sites Geological data capture, modelling, monitoring and compliance process
• Coordination of the sites Coal flow process

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have;
