Job summary

Betashares in Sydney, Australia is seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack) to build customer-facing investment products. You will impact money movement, investing journeys, and real-time portfolio insights used by Australians daily.

You will tackle problems across Vue, Rust, Node.js, GraphQL and modern data stores, while contributing to cross-cutting engineering decisions and improving reliability and performance of our platforms.

Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering production software as a senior full-stack engineer.
• Ability to make sound technical decisions across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Experience designing and building services interacting with production databases and data stores.
• Strong fundamentals: maintainable design, automated testing, observability and secure development.
• Proactive approach to AI-enabled software development and tooling adoption.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of significant full-stack features across investment, payments, portfolio and reporting products.
• Design, build, test and maintain reliable software across Vue, Rust, Node.js, GraphQL and various data stores.
• Contribute to technical design decisions balancing customer outcomes, performance and security.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate complex problems into pragmatic solutions.
• Take ownership of complex engineering problems across customer journeys and production issues.
