Qualifications

• Strong experience delivering production software as a senior full-stack engineer across design, implementation, testing and support.
• Strong engineering capability across frontend, backend and APIs, with the ability to make sound technical decisions across the full delivery lifecycle.
• Experience designing and building services with production databases and data stores, focusing on reliable data access, integrity and performance.
• Strong fundamentals: maintainable design, automated testing, code review, observability, reliability and secure development practices.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems, navigate ambiguity and collaborate across teams.
• Proactive approach to AI-enabled software development and adoption of tools to improve productivity and outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery of significant full-stack features and technical outcomes across investment, payments, portfolio, and reporting products.
• Design, build, test and maintain reliable software across Vue, Rust, Node.js, GraphQL and data stores.
• Contribute to technical design and solution decisions balancing customer outcomes, maintainability, performance, security and delivery needs.
• Collaborate with product, engineers and the wider Product Engineering function to translate complex problems into pragmatic technical solutions.
• Own complex engineering problems across customer journeys, including investigation, troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices to improve development throughput and quality, sharing learnings.
• Promote strong engineering practices across code quality, automated testing, observability, secure development and operations.
• Review code and designs, providing constructive feedback and mentoring less experienced engineers.
• Identify opportunities to improve scalability, reliability and maintainability of products and systems.
