Job summary

Qantas Airways, based at our new Product Innovation Centre in Adelaide, seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to guide architecture, delivery and development of the software powering our digital experiences. You will be hands-on, mentor juniors and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fast, secure, and reliable services that meet evolving customer expectations.

You’ll contribute to the quality of software through design, testing and observability practices while owning key technical

Qualifications

6+ years in hands-on software engineering.
Experience building high-traffic customer-facing web apps (frontend and backend).
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB).
Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript across UI and backend.
Backend experience with Node.js and Java with Spring/Spring Boot to build scalable APIs.
Experience with React.js and Next.js (SSR) and modern frontend patterns.

Responsibilities

Guide architecture, delivery and development of software systems powering the business unit.
Hands-on coding to deliver high-quality, well-designed software.
Ensure reliability, performance, security and data privacy in delivered solutions.
