Job summary

Launch Group is seeking a driven Full Stack Engineer with a frontend emphasis on React, Next.js and TypeScript to design and enhance customer-facing digital experiences. You will work with APIs, microservices, and modern CMS platforms, exploring AI-enabled approaches while ensuring performance and security.

The role offers a 9-month contract with a view to extension, with hybrid work requiring three days in the Sydney office and a collaborative engineering environment.

Qualifications

• Strong full stack experience with frontend focus on React, Next.js and TypeScript, plus Node.js backend advantageous.
• Experience with APIs, microservices, BFFs and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with headless/composable architectures and modern CMS platforms (Sitecore XM Cloud, Contentful, Sanity, Storyblok).
• Good AI experience with applying AI to software development and digital experiences.

About The Role

Work with a leading global financial organisation and join a leading engineering team in Australia to build and transform the way they service their customers. You’ll design and enhance modern customer-facing digital experiences across websites and digital platforms, working with the latest technologies.
This role focuses on modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, with the opportunity to work across React, Next.js and Node.js, scalable APIs and modern headless/composable architectures. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience, with the ability to drive technical direction, propose solutions and apply emerging technologies including AI, while championing performance, security and engineering best practices.

What are we looking for?

• Strong Full Stack experience with a stronger frontend focus across React, Next.js and TypeScript, with Node.js and another backend language advantageous
• Experience across APIs, microservices, BFFs, CI/CD
• Experience with headless/composable architectures and modern CMS platforms such as Sitecore XM Cloud, Contentful, Sanity, Storyblok or similar
• Good AI experience, with the ability to implement and leverage AI across software development and digital experiences, with an understanding of A2A and A2UI
• Strong understanding of web performance, accessibility and technical SEO, with the ability to propose solutions and influence technical direction
