Job summary

Nextpower Inc in Australia is seeking a Senior Technician - Foundation Solutions to inspect, repair and maintain Truss Drivers and related equipment across operations, applying mechanical, hydraulic and electrical skills.

You will receive in-house training, work on-site, and support field operations while adhering to health and safety standards. The role emphasizes proactive maintenance, diagnostics, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Qualifications

Trade qualification required; Diesel Fitter qualification preferred.
Construction or jobsite experience with heavy machinery or drill rigs.
Troubleshooting capabilities across hydraulics, diesel engines, electrical systems, CANBUS/PLCs.
Experience with heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins or similar).
Welding and fabrication capability.
Sound judgement and ability to work independently with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

Inspect, repair, replace, and test components on Truss Drivers and related equipment.
Perform preventive, corrective, and unscheduled maintenance and testing.
On-site welding/fabrication and repair activities as required.
Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools, schematics and manuals.
Record maintenance activity in MaintainX and report parts used.
Provide field feedback to product and equipment teams.
