Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Embedded firmware development in C and C++ for microcontrollers (ARM Cortex‑M, SoCs).
• Board support package (BSP) work and hardware bring‑up.
• SoC processor subsystem configuration: clocks, resets, memory map, peripherals.
• Integrating FPGA fabric IP with software: memory‑mapped registers, bus interfaces.
• Reading schematics and datasheets and translating to software requirements.
• Debugging across hardware/software boundary with JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers.
• Working with hardware engineers to reflect software requirements in designs.
• Embedded Linux expertise: Yocto or similar, custom distribution bring‑up.
• Full lifecycle engineering: deriving requirements, automated tests, Git/CMake/Python.

Responsibilities

• Drive firmware development for control units, deriving requirements and implementing on hardware.
• Interface between Software and Hardware teams; modify BSP/firmware for hardware changes.
• Integrate and validate subsystems (thermal, radio, propulsion, GNSS, attitude control, payload, power).
• Develop core flight software: telemetry, uplink, health monitoring, CAN/RS-422/485/Ethernet interfaces.
