Job summary

Space Machines Company is seeking a Senior Flight Software/Firmware Engineer to own the flight software lifecycle for spacecraft, from requirements through hardware validation. You will drive embedded firmware development for MCU/SoC, integrate with FPGA and CAN/RS-422/485 interfaces, and collaborate closely with hardware teams to ensure robust, fault-tolerant operation.

The role requires hands-on experience with embedded Linux, Yocto, and real hardware brings up across subsystems such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years hands-on embedded software development experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop firmware for flight software and control units of satellites, from requirements to real hardware validation.
• Interface between Software and Hardware teams; align BSP/firmware with hardware changes.
