Synapse- Canada is seeking a Firmware Developer in Ballarat, Australia to maintain and enhance embedded software for our traffic products designed to assist the visually impaired. You will participate in the full design cycle from requirements through launch and ongoing support.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of embedded experience, strong C skills, familiarity with ARM Cortex architectures, RTOS, Linux, and version control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, electrical, electronic, or computer engineering is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of embedded firmware experience.
• Strong understanding of embedded software development best practices.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and enhance embedded software for existing product lines.
• Participate in the embedded software system design cycle from requirements through launch and beyond.
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software.
• Interface with a cross-functional engineering team.
• Support the Tech Support team with product knowledge.
