Job summary

Synapse- Canada is seeking an experienced Firmware Developer to maintain and enhance embedded software for our traffic products. You will design, code, test, and debug firmware for ARM Cortex‑M devices, and work with cross‑functional teams to drive designs from requirements to launch.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/CE and 5+ years in embedded development, with strong C, RTOS, Linux, and peripheral driver experience. Hybrid work options may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience.
• Strong embedded software practices.
• RTOS experience (with/without).
• Experience with peripheral drivers and register-level development.
• Linux familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance embedded software for existing product lines.
• Design, develop, code, test, and debug embedded software.
• Interface with cross-functional engineering team.
• Support Tech Support with product knowledge.
• Participate in design from requirements through launch and beyond.
• Perform design and code reviews.
