Job summary

Synapse- Canada seeks a Firmware Developer to maintain and enhance embedded software for traffic products designed to empower the visually impaired. You will participate in the full software lifecycle from requirements to launch, coding, testing, and debugging in a collaborative engineering team.

Required are a Bachelor’s in an engineering field and 5+ years in embedded development, with strong C skills, Linux familiarity, and experience with industry tools and RTOS as applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 5+ years of embedded software development experience.
• Strong C language programming in embedded environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance embedded software for existing product lines.
• Participate in design cycles from requirements through launch.
• Design, develop, test, and debug embedded software.
