Job summary

Compass Group Australia in Perth is seeking a Financial Controls Manager to lead the ICFR framework, enhance the SOX‑style internal controls over financial reporting and embed them into business‑as‑usual processes.

Based on Newcastle Street, East Perth, with a hybrid model (2 days from home, 3 in the office), you will partner with Finance and process owners to ensure evidence, governance and timely remediation across core financial processes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in financial controls, internal or external audit, SOX/ICFR or related governance.
• Knowledge of COSO, SOX 404/ICFR, RACMs, key controls and evidence standards.
• Degree in Accounting/Finance; professional qualifications desirable (CA/CPA/CISA).
• Able to document end-to-end processes and challenge control design with stakeholders.
• Strong planning, coordination and influencing skills with senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• ICFR / financial controls framework enhancement aligned to SOX-style controls.
• Develop RACMs, process maps, control objectives and evidence requirements.
• Embed control disciplines into BAU and drive remediation and governance.
• Design testing methods and review evidence quality; report control status.
• Grow capability through training, guidance and cross-functional collaboration.
