Job summary

[axr] Recruitment & Search is working with a large Australian manufacturing business in Sydney to appoint a senior controls role reporting to the CFO. You will own the control environment, tighten SOX-style controls, and oversee risk reviews across balance sheet and P&L, inventory, debtors and creditors.

The role suits someone who can work independently, drive outcomes, and influence at senior levels. Hybrid work with at least 3 days in the Sydney office.

Qualifications

• Experience in internal controls or internal audit.
• Knowledge of SOX-style controls frameworks.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Own and tighten internal controls over the balance sheet and P&L.
• Manage SOX-style controls framework and risk reviews.
• Influence and drive outcomes through close collaboration with finance leadership.
