Recruitment Labs in Sydney seeks a senior finance leader to own APAC technical accounting and statutory reporting within a US multinational. You will sit in a global reporting and control framework, coordinating with regional and global teams to uphold policy, close processes and SOX controls.

The role requires deep accounting expertise, ability to influence across a matrix structure, and readiness for early‑morning calls due to time zones. A strong US GAAP/SOX background is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience within medical devices or inventory‑driven distribution is a plus.
• US multinational background with direct experience working with a US parent is essential.
• Solid exposure to US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance.
• Genuine technical accounting depth and confidence owning statutory reporting end‑to‑end.

Responsabilités

• Lead financial control and technical accounting across the APAC region.
• Own statutory reporting for regional entities, including external audit relationships and group reporting bridge.
• Contribute as a member of the global reporting and control working group, bringing APAC perspective to policy and close processes.
• Prepare and present information for global finance committees for regional results and technical issues.
• Maintain a robust Sarbanes‑Oxley control environment across the region from ownership to remediation.
• Monitor balance sheet areas important to the sector, especially inventory valuation and provisioning across locations.
• Collaborate with the global finance office on group initiatives and policy rollouts.
• Work with regional finance and commercial leaders to ensure understanding and application of the control framework.
