Job summary

Mars Food Australia is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, accounting, controls and governance across the Segment. You will partner with the CFO, GMs and senior leaders to deliver timely, accurate insights that support strategic decision-making.

You will oversee the financial close, reconciliations and testing of the control framework, ensuring compliance with local, federal and global requirements. This is a high-impact role in a multinational environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting with professional qualification preferred.
• CPA/CA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 8-15 years' accounting/finance experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, accounting, controls and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of accurate, complete and timely financial reporting across the Segment.
• Own P&L and balance sheet health with strong accounting practices and controls.
• Partner with CFO and senior stakeholders to provide financial insight for decision-making.
• Oversee financial close, reconciliations and review/approval of accounts.
• Lead control framework implementation and testing program.
• Collaborate with MGS Finance, Sales and Supply Chain.
• Ensure compliance with local, federal and global financial requirements.
• Lead accounting and financial support for special projects and transformations.
• Drive continuous improvement of financial processes and standards.
