CareerMode is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to own the financial accounting function within a well-established manufacturing business in Brisbane. You will lead a small transactional finance team of three, manage month-end and year-end closes, and drive robust governance and controls.

The role also covers statutory reporting, taxation compliance and external audit coordination, with opportunities to implement process improvements across finance systems and reporting.

Competenze

• Experience in end-to-end financial accounting including month-end close.
• Supervising, mentoring or leading transactional finance team members.
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, GL management and reconciliations.
• Experience with statutory reporting and taxation compliance.
• Capability coordinating external audits with auditors and advisers.
• Proven governance, internal controls and accounting policy experience.

Mansioni

• Oversee all aspects of financial accounting, including month-end and year-end close.
• Manage general ledger, journal entries, accruals and prepayments.
• Prepare and review financial statements and statutory reporting.
• Ensure taxation compliance (GST, income tax, etc.).
• Coordinate external audits and manage auditor relationships.
• Maintain robust governance, controls and accounting policies.
• Lead and develop a team of three in transactional finance activities.
