Responsibilities

• Prepare periodic financial statements and reconciliations for EOS Group entities within required timeframes.
• Close period procedures and consolidation process, including intercompany transactions and GL reconciliations.
• Identify and resolve variances and improve inputs at source.
• Maintain fixed asset register and process asset accounting transactions.
• Analyze complex transactions such as inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Liaise with senior management to provide financial advice and information.
• Assist in statutory reporting and taxation outputs.
• Prepare and submit BAS, Payroll Tax, PTRS, FBT and ABS returns on time.
• Support half-year and annual financial reports and external audit processes.
• Support financial policies, procedures and governance.
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes.
• Provide clear technical accounting guidance to stakeholders.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Finance Group is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, organised, enjoys autonomy and seeks continuous improvement to join our team as a Senior Financial Accountant. The Senior Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Finance Manager in working with internal and external partners to provide financial accounting and reporting responsibilities for the EOS Group. The primary focus is on production of monthly consolidated accounts and periodic reporting requirements on a timely basis and the delivery of the Group’s financial reporting obligations, ensuring quality and integrity of all financial information provided.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Undertake the preparation of periodic financial statements and reconciliations for several entities within the EOS Group in accordance with specified timeframes.
• Complete all period close procedures and the Group’s consolidation process, ensuring that intercompany transactions and general ledger reconciliations are completed on a timely basis.
• Promptly identify and resolve system variances or reconciliation issues and help get inputs and processes right at source.
• Support the maintenance of the fixed asset register, and processing of asset accounting transactions.
• Proactively problem-solve and critically analyse complex transactions, such as inventory accounting and revenue recognition.
• Liaise with Senior Management and business managers to provide financial advice and information as required.
• Assist in the preparation of statutory reports and other outputs required for taxation management.
• Preparation and timely submission of regulatory reporting requirements including BAS, Payroll Tax, PTRS, FBT and ABS returns.
• Support the preparation of the half-year and annual financial reports and assist with the management of external audit process.
• Support management of all financial policies, procedures and work instructions to establish strong financial governance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes and systems that enhance the level of financial control.
• Provide technical accounting advice or financial information in clear and easy-to-understand language.
