Job summary

News Corp Australia is seeking a Senior Commercial Finance Analyst within Technology, Digital and Data to shape financial narratives, manage cost bases, and drive strategic decision making. You will partner with leadership, lead cost-improvement initiatives, and oversee project performance and budgeting cycles.

You’ll work with TM1, JDE and BI tools, translating complex data into actionable insights for offshore teams and global stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and CA/CPA qualification.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role or field, with preferred experience in Technology cost management and business cases.
• Commercial and technical expertise in budgeting and forecasting with hands-on experience using financial systems like TM1, JDE and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide business partnering support, build business cases and conduct complex ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
• Monitor project performance, track capital expenditure and analyze non-financial metrics to anticipate trends.
• Oversee month-end, forecast and budgeting processes including Salaries & Wages and capitalisation of project time.
